In-Situ Cinema

July 2016

Julie Myers and Maria Anastassiou

In-Situ Cinema makes films in response to specific places with people who live in those places. Over four weekends in July residents of Chester Road and Carlisle Road in Queen’s Park, Bedford joined us for a series of film, animation and drawing workshops in our outdoor filmmaking space. The film reflects the thoughts and ideas the residents have about their local area - the defunct telephone box becomes a silver birch tree, a concrete wall becomes a magical gate into the park, speeding cars vanish and overgrown gardens become places for adventure.
