Time Travellers of Dunstable

July 2014

A series of audio zones, located in Dunstable Town Centre, invite the public to listen to stories about the town as it is now and how it was in the past. The ‘Audio-Zones’ contain personal accounts of life in Dunstable created in collaboration with local pensioners and older people during a series of workshops. The ‘Audio-Zones’ are clearly recognised in the town as large scale graphic shapes on the ground. These markers are inspired by the graphic style common in science fiction magazines and comic books and indicate 'holes in space' or 'portals' through which time travellers move.
